Trails
Guided trail rides through the Ozark hills are one of the most peaceful ways to see the region. Several outfitters near Harrison and Jasper operate year-round — winding through hollows and ridgelines that cars can't reach.
Sightseeing
Eureka Springs Tram Tours wind through Victorian streets perched on steep hillsides. Bull Shoals Dam tours reveal one of the largest earthen dams in the world. Blanchard Springs Caverns offers underground wonder year-round.
Underground
Blanchard Springs Caverns is a living cave system with guided tours at a constant 58°F — a perfect escape from summer heat. Cosmic Caverns near Berryville offers wild cave tours and one of the deepest surveyed pits in the Ozarks.

Scenic Drive
AR Highway 7 has been called one of America's most scenic byways — 115 miles of forested ridges, river valleys, and small-town charm between Harrison and Hot Springs. AR-21 through the heart of the Ozarks and the Pig Trail Scenic Byway are close contenders.
Legend & History
Live the legend. Jesse James and his gang called the southern Ozarks home for years — hiding out in the same hills your cabin sits in. This self-drive trail hits the key outlaw sites: Carthage, Missouri's historic courthouse (site of the 1865 massacre), Galena's Minnie's Cafe (an outlaw roadhouse), the Pearl River caves, and the famous Carter's Creek Crossing shootout site. The lore is thick. The drive is beautiful.
Ozarks Legend
They say Jesse James buried it somewhere along the Buffalo River — a chest of Union gold coins stolen during the Civil War, never recovered. Every local has a theory. Some say it's near a specific limestone bluff above Pruitt. Others swear it's somewhere near Rich Creek. The search has consumed treasure hunters for over 150 years. Nobody's found it. Yet. The best time to hunt? Late autumn, when the leaves are down and the river's low.
